When tables and chairs, mantles and window seats, cabinets and trim, are conceived and crafted as one complete room, the results are unimaginable… unless, of course, you have the concept illustrations, detailed floor plans, and extensive working drawings that we always produce for such projects.

Our specialty is custom woodwork, designed to create rich, inviting interior spaces. The furnishings we design and build are expressions of the values we hold and share with our clients.
A family room is more than a space to house stereo equipment and a television. A library or study is more than a space to shelve books and maintain household records.
These are the spaces where we live our personal lives. As such, they need to express as much character, as purpose, and provide as much comfort, as convenience.

From Concept Illustrations to Detailed Shop Drawings ...
FOR THE PROSPECTIVE CLIENT: enjoying the portfolio our work, it is only natural to associate Jaeger & Ernst with the beautiful furniture, cabinetry, and interiors we create. Those who have worked with us before also recognize the creative effort and forethought behind the meticulous craftsmanship.
We produce extensive drawings… concept drawings, to help explore stylistic and functional options… working drawings, so everyone involved can see exactly how each cabinet feature will look and serve the finished room.
We work on projects of all sizes. We work directly with homeowners, and in collaboration with architects, general contractors, and interior designers.

We generously contribute our years of woodworking design experience to the group effort that produces interior spaces ideally suited to the homes and lives of our clients. We encourage prospective clients and building professionals to include us in the earliest phases of a project’s development.
FOR THE ARCHITECT: who has developed the large-scale concept of the home… we support the house plans with detailed, working drawings for the seamless integration of the
cabinetry and interior millwork features.
The result is cabinetry and millwork so impeccably appropriate to the overarching aesthetic of the house that it appears to have evolved naturally, in place, from their original designs.
Gifted cabinetmakers are hard to come by, and we are truly fortunate to have assembled the select group of individuals who work in our shop.
FOR THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR: charged with efficient, timely structural production… our drawings and close communication support the job foreman
and related sub-contractors in the site-preparations for the cabinetry.
The planning behind our working drawings helps avoid “issues” and costly delays, to assure thoroughly satisfied homeowners. No more re-locating the light switches… again.
No matter how high a skill level our cabinetmakers have achieved, they continuously rise to the challenge of expanding their areas of expertise.
A modern cabinetmaker must be as deft with a power saw and abrasive planer as his predecessors were with chisels and mallet.
FOR THE INTERIOR DESIGNER: coordinating a home’s aesthetic sensibilities and expanding its stylistic themes throughout the interior spaces… we contribute the creative design support that produces furniture-quality, built-in features and finely crafted furnishings. Our custom kitchens and home office-libraries often draw requests for a special dining table or an individualized desk.
